Abstract: LI Yong emphasizes that studying Yi aims at purifying ones mind, opposes studying Yi for the sake of learning it, holds that self-consciousness is crucial in studying and practicing Yi. Therefore, one must believe that Yi itself has been prepared inside you. So you should only seek connotations of Yi from the innate mind of yourself. He also advocates one should study and practice Yi earnestly to expand its connotations.
