Abstract:In the mainland of China, the new evaluation of the literary classics from the 1950’s to the 1970’s involves inevitably many complicated problems. This paper puts forward several noticeable points from the following 3 aspects and gives them a brief comment respectively:1,the position of literary classics in contemporary social life, 2,the focus of the new evaluation, and 3,the standards and possible difficulties in the new evaluation.
