     Abstract
          Visual  culture  is  now  a  part  of  our  everyday  life.  This  essay  argues  that  visual  culture  concerns  various  visual  events  in  which  the  consumer,  equipped  by  modern  high  technologies,  searches  for  information,  meaning  as  well  as  pleasure.  The  author  points  out  that  postmodernism  is  by  nature  a  visual  culture.  Visual  culture  results  in  the  visualization  of  reality,& nbsp; that  is,  everything  in  life  becomes  the  image.  This  visualizing  of  reality  makes  the  modern  period  entirely  different  from  the  ancient  and  medieval  times.  More  importantly,  the  author  sees  visual  culture  as  political  and  ideological  strategies  rather  than  a  mere  academic  discipline.
