摘要：《景观设计：专业学科与教育》一书，收入了由包括国际著名景观设计教育家佐佐木教授、卡尔·斯坦尼兹教授等在内的论文20多篇，内容涵盖了关于景观、景观设计与景观设计师的理解，景观设计学科的发展，景观设计学教育，以及中国景观设计专业面临的挑战与机遇。系统地介绍了国际主要国家和地区的景观设计职业和专业教育的发展和体制，目的是希望给发展中的我国景观设计职业与教育体系提供全方位的、系统的借鉴。

Abstract：This paper is an introduction to the book Landscape Architecture:The Profession and Education. This book is so far the most comprehensive collection of writings about the profession and education of landscape architecture. The collected papers are some classical writings by some of the world renowned LA educators, including Hideo Sasaki, Carl Steinitz, as well as by some of the Chinese professors from mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong The editors called for a revolutionary breakthrough in the profession of landscape architecture in China, in terms of practice and education.
