Expressions of MMP 9 and IL6 in nonHodgkins lymphoma and their Relationships with prognosis
【Aastract】 AIM: To study the expression of matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP9) and interleukin6 (IL6) in nonHodgkins lymphoma and its subtypes, and evaluate the relationship between the staining grades of these markers and the prognosis. METHODS: Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expressions of MMP9 and IL6 in the tissues of nonHodgkins lymphoma(n=51). These patients get a follwup of 7 years. RESULTS: The expressions of MMP9 and IL6 were mainly found in cytoplasm of the tumor cells by immunohistochemical SP method, and their expressions in tumor cells were higher than those in reactive hyperplasia of lymphnodes（P＜0.05）. There was statistical significance in the expression of MMP9 among different histological subtypes. The 5year diseasefree survival rates were 66.7%, 50.0%, 35.3%, 0% in patients with grade 0, 1, 2, 3 of MMP9 staining respectively. The 5year diseasefree survival rates were 66.7%, 44.4%, 38.9%, 0% in patients with grade 0, 1, 2, 3 of IL6 staining respectively. CONCLUSION: The expressions of MMP9 and IL6 in tumor cells are higher than those in reactive hyperplasia of lymphnodes. Furthermore, have a correlation with histological subtypes. The staining grades of MMP9 and IL6 are important indexes to estimate the prognosis of nonHodgkins lymphoma.
