【内容提要】什么是高职教育，高职教育具有哪些特征，这是高职教育最基本的理论问题。然而在这个最基本的问题上，人们的认识却是观点各异，众说纷纭，出现了不少认识上的误区。究其原因，主要在于人们未能从高职教育的本质出发来理解高职教育，未能分清高职教育的本质与非本质特征。实践证明，只有从事物的本质出发，才能够真正认识事物。

【英文摘要】what higher vocational education is and what its characteristics are are two fundamental theoretical questions about higher vocational education.however,opinions on them vary greatly.there even lie some misunderstandings mainly because of the failure to comprehend higher vocational education from the perspective of its nature and to differentiate its nature from its non-nature features.practicehas proved that only by studying it from the perspective of its nature can we really understand this matter.
